Baxter Public Works Facility
Public works, water treatment, and other municipal services have been brought together in this campus nestled in the woods. Developing the varied facilities on the campus simultaneously offers economy of scale while shared spaces further increase the efficient use of the City’s resources. In addition to the 9,000 sq.ft. water treatment facility, its attached 2,500 sq.ft. garage and 17,600 sq.ft. precast concrete maintenance garage, the campus also includes 6,400 sq.ft. of salt/sand storage, a 10,080 sq.ft. cold storage building, an impound yard, and storage bins. The maintenance building features in-floor heating, high bay windows for natural daylight house lighting, and CO/NO2 detection to activate exhaust and make-up air units.
