Immaculate Heart Church
Located on a beautiful site, Immaculate Heart Catholic Church expresses traditional Catholic architecture with a hint of modernism. The layout of the narthex, baptistery, worship, and sanctuary spaces are based on the rich history of the traditional cruciform building plan. Parish offices, fellowship areas, a large kitchen, and religious education spaces are designed for expansion of the growing parish.
The natural and electric lighting of Immaculate Heart Catholic Church tastefully compliments the architecture and brings the building to life. Beautiful stained glass windows allow diffused light to enter the space and create transitional washes of color across the cream walls. The variety of interior lighting options creates different moods and highlights specific spaces in the church.
The church is in a virtual dialogue with its rolling, wooded surroundings through its abundant windows and outdoor courtyards and paths. The 35,000 square foot church seats 750 people in the main worship space with room to accommodate an additional 250 people in overflow seating. We worked closely with the extremely dedicated building committee and Hagemeister Mack Architects to ensure the Crosslake area’s Catholic community will be served by this spiritual facility for decades.
