WSN’s architects designed a 10,000-square-foot corporate headquarters office building in Willmar, MN, for Dooley’s Petroleum along with a 10,000-square-foot shop for servicing their truck fleet. For more than 50 years Dooley’s Petroleum was located in Murdock, MN. They outgrew their space and decided to relocate to Willmar. The new facility allowed Dooley’s to devise a more efficient floor plan that would meet their current and future needs.
The Willmar location is on a prominent intersection with a pond across the street to the north. The pond was taken into consideration by our architects when laying out the floor plan to allow viewing from the offices. The board room also has an east orientation for sun. The owner’s office is bumped out to receive both east and west sun as well as north views. Located on a major intersection, the site gives them great visibility as well as ease of access. The new site is also large enough to allow for future expansion.
With five locations, Dooley’s provides aviation, gasoline, diesel and LP fuel to homes, agriculture, and retail outlets. Their retail service includes branded and unbranded convivence stores. Branded stores include SA, BP, Shell and Tesoro.
