Swayback Historic Bridge
Redwood Falls, MN
The unique, downward-curve design of the Swayback Bridge, built in 1939 and located in Alexander Ramsey Park, is intended to help the structure withstand floods by letting floodwaters flow over it. Years of wear and tear had taken a greater toll than expected, however, damaging the concrete deck and compromising its structural integrity. WSN worked to restore the bridge to its original state, preserving its historical importance while making it structurally sound.
