Diamond Lake Road Bridge
We provided preliminary design, profile and geometric design, construction options, and final plans for this continuous steel beam, two-span bridge on Diamond Lake Road over I-35W. Our services included coordination with Mn/DOT and several consultants for details and aesthetic treatments to the bridge, retaining walls, and noise walls. Our team used Microstation/GEOPAK software to design the bridge with Mn/DOT CADD standards for CADD Level 1 and Level 2.
The bridge is 211’-1” long and 75’-4” wide. It carries four lanes of vehicular traffic and two pedestrian sidewalks. This bridge was part of MnDOT’s I35W/Hwy 62 Crosstown Commons project and was completed in 2006.
