Widseth Smith Nolting’s Erin Johnson was selected as one of Prairie Business Magazine’s Top 25 Women in Business for 2019. The list recognizes successful businesswomen in North Dakota, South Dakota, and western Minnesota. Erin is a finance and accounting specialist in WSN’s East Grand Forks office. She joined the company in 2012 and handles functions including daily operations, analyzing financial information, and producing financial reports. Erin is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the North Dakota CPA Society, and she recently joined the Greater Grand Forks Women’s Leadership Cooperative.
Given her many contributions to the firm and to her community, WSN named Erin a shareholder at the end of 2018. In a firm whose greatest percentage of employees is engineers, Erin is one of just a handful of corporate administrative professionals who have been elevated to shareholder in the firm. Erin has consistently helped steer the firm into new initiatives, steadied it through challenges, and nurtured the company’s consistent growth. She approaches her work with both a calm presence and a sense of joy that is infectious. In inviting her to become a vice president in the firm, WSN’s management team has recognized Erin as one of the firm’s top professionals and next generation of leaders.
