The Steele County History Center’s striking exterior is a community icon. The curved glass wall allows natural light to stream into the interior spaces throughout the day while revealing displays and activities to passersby at night. In addition to the historical and interpretive display area, spaces include artifact and archival storage, genealogy research rooms, gift shop, administrative offices, multi-purpose rooms, commercial kitchen, kitchenette, and theater. This project was completed by Kane & Johnson Architects, prior to the firm’s acquisition by Widseth Smith Nolting.
