The North Koochiching Area Sanitary District serves 7,000 residents along Rainy Lake in northern Minnesota. Milford Mine Memorial Park opens, honors 41 disaster victims

Milford Mine Memorial Park, about two miles north of Crosby, MN, has officially opened. The park honors the 41 miners who lost their lives in Minnesota’s worst mining disaster.
